CIBC’s Global Markets business focuses on delivering expert financial and economic analysis and savvy deal-making capabilities to clients in Canada and around the world. The Global Markets team supports fixed income, foreign exchange, commodities, derivatives, equities, and growth markets and is focused on building a strong, innovative relationship-oriented bank.

Within CIBC Global Markets, the Alternate Solutions Group (ASG) was launched in 2013 with a mandate to develop innovative and creative technology-driven capital markets solutions. This group is an unconventional capital markets organization that combines the innovative spirit and agility of a FinTech startup with the financial strength and strong governance protocol of a major financial institution. ASG has been recognized as a global leader in providing disruptive technological capital markets solutions in several product areas including Cross Border Payments, Dynamic Currency Conversion, and Foreign Cash . ASG’s client base stretches from some of the largest banks in the world, to corporates to CIBC’s retail clients.

We are hiring on the Global Payment  Services (GPS) team, a leading  product in ASG. GPS offers Retail & Corporate clients the ability to send and receive funds globally in their preferred payment method and currency. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Global Payment  Services (GPS) team, a leading product in ASG. as a Growth Marketer. This fully on-site role blends growth marketing and product promotion responsibilities, with a focus on driving awareness, increasing usage, and boosting revenue for ASG’s financial products, including GPS solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess an entrepreneurial mindset, practical experience in digital marketing, and a solid understanding of product development lifecycles. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop strategies, implement campaigns, and deliver exceptional features that align with customer needs.

How You'll Succeed

Growth Marketing - Develop and execute effective marketing strategy for GPS products and services encompassing programmatic, social, mass media, and owned channel exposures (email, app push) to achieve business goals. Manage campaigns across display, video, and audio platforms, leveraging tools like DV360, TTD, and Amazon. Set and monitor KPIs aligned with business objectives, using data to optimize campaigns and inform new strategies. Identify and implement marketing technology stack improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability. Collaborate with enterprise marketing, agencies, and internal teams to ensure alignment and consistency across all marketing efforts while staying updated on industry trends and identify new marketing opportunities.

Product Development and Delivery - Monitor product performance metrics and user feedback, leveraging insights to drive continuous improvement and innovation. Partner with the Product Growth team to prioritize client feedback and identify new use cases and revenue opportunities. Collaborate with engineering, design, and risk teams to translate business requirements into actionable user stories and specifications. Facilitate sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure timely delivery of high-quality features.

Leveraging Analytical Skills - Utilize data analytics tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns in complex data sets, providing actionable insights and recommendations for marketing strategy. Monitor and track campaign performance and spend/ effectiveness metrics, responding proactively to anomalies and trends. Conduct comprehensive research to identify business trends and opportunities that align with product development goals.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management - Foster a collaborative environment by supporting team members through knowledge sharing and effective problem-solving. Build strong internal relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for product initiatives. Establish clear context and direction when assigning work to team members, ensuring alignment with product goals and objectives.

Who You Are

You can demonstrate a minimum 1 year of experience as a growth marketer for digital products and 1+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar product management role.

You have hands-on experience e managing programmatic media campaigns and owned channels.

You have attained a strong understanding of the marketing funnel, customer segmentation, and audience targeting.

You have proven experience managing campaigns to multiple strict KPIs from awareness, action, attribution, conversion tracking

You have a strong understanding of technology, foreign exchange, payments, and capital markets.

You have experience in customer segmentation, targeting and optimizing audience lists (internal and new acquisitions via buying platforms)

You have an entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

You are technically savvy. Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Excel) and experience with data visualization tools, particularly Power BI, Tableau, Python, Pandas, Data Frames, NumPy, Power BI. PCEP certification required.

You have acquired strong communication and stakeholder management skills and can demonstrate proven ability to prioritize competing demands and deliver results.
