POSITION SUMMARY:

The Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis is a key participant in the annual planning and budgeting process and daily executive reporting

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Participates in the rolling planning and budgeting processes of the companyResponsible for executive reportingReviews and validates financial data, interpreting prevailing trends and preparing reports for review by managementExecutes the month-end departmental P&L review processCreates in-depth financial reconciliations as requested by managementPrepares property level forecasts of key volume indicators and translating these forecasts into financial forecastsLiaises with senior management on able to explain complicated financial topics in an approachable mannerAssists in preparing daily flash reports and periodic trend reports as well as complimentary control reportsAnalyses a variety of issues on an ad hoc basis as requested by managementAudits departmental operating performance on a periodic basis versus budgetary, historical and industry benchmarksManages small to medium scope projects

QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualifications & Experience

At least two years of progressive work experience in analytical rolesProven track record in developing creative and innovative solutions to complex problems

Education

Must hold a degree from a major, accredited institution in the fields of finance/accounting, engineering, statistics, business administration or mathematicsPost graduate degree in relevant subject is preferableQualified ACCA/ACA will be considered an advantage

Skills / Competencies

Mature presentation style and feeling comfortable interacting with senior managementStrong financial acumen and analytical mindsetProvide creative and innovative solutions to complex problemsStrong English language writing skillsProficiency in all MS Office applications including near expert proficiency in MS ExcelSuperior technical skills preferable, specifically an understanding of VBA, SQL, SAS are preferred
