Position Summary:
This position is responsible for supporting the financial planning & analysis function, which includes oversight of budgets, financial models, forecasts, financial and operational analyses, capital allocation, and strategic planning for the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority (Mohegan) enterprise, including its operating properties and divisions. This position works cross-functionally to support property finance, digital, corporate, capital markets, investor relations, and strategic development activities.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Responsible for various ad hoc analyses and development of complex financial models associated with all Mohegan projects, developments and investment opportunitiesAssists with the development of the annual budget; prepares annual budgets in collaboration with the property finance, digital and corporate teamsPrepares standard monthly reporting on operational results versus budget and forecasted performance for the enterprisePerforms regular analyses of operational trends, economic trends and competitive developments for presentation to senior leadershipAssists in preparing analysis and presentations for scheduled earnings calls and lender presentationsCommunicates on a regular basis with departments across the enterprise regarding current trends and issues within their operating disciplinesMinimum Education and Qualifications:
Bachelors’ Degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Business Management or a related fieldMust have at least two years of experience in financial planning and analysis; prior experience in hospitality or gaming preferredMust be able to demonstrate complex financial modeling skillsMust have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly ExcelWorkday and Adaptive experience preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsCompetencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:
Strong critical thinking skills, particularly for problem solving and trend identificationStrong analytical and financial presentation skillsMust be able to multitask and adhere to strict deadlinesTraining Requirements:
