Royal Caribbean Group’s Safety, Security & Environment has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Analyst, Environmental Reporting reporting to the Lead, Environmental Performance & Strategy
Position Summary
Supports the day-to-day environmental operations including monitoring emissions reporting for our Partner Brands (TUI Cruises, Hapag-Lloyd Cruises) and the advancement of initiatives related to shipboard operations and management systems as needed. Assists with the analysis of environmental, regulatory, and operational management procedures for Partner Brands.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Support the advancement of Environmental Stewardship initiatives and strategic goals related to shipboard operations including but not limited to Energy & Air. Oversees our Partner Brands’ emissions data for the IMO DCS and EU MRV reports. Reviews our Partner Brands’ other environmental data (waste and wastewater data and reports progress in meeting Environmental Management System (ISO 14001) Objectives and Targets, KPIs and long-term corporate goals. Coordinate with Environmental Officers and other shipboard staff as needed to ensure our data are reported accurately. Assists with training and providing support to Environmental Officers and other shipboard officers as needed, including coordination of Environmental Officers Level I & II Conference. Monitor the environmental performance of the various ships in the fleet and facilitating activities related to environmental reporting. Support ship environmental operations and compliance, including related information management tools for the RCG fleet. Performs other duties as required. Qualifications
Four-year Bachelor’s Degree in environmental management, policy, sustainability or related field; Data Analytics skills (SQL, Python) preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
Proficiency with internet search engines, email applications and Microsoft Office applications required (specifically; Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Strong communication, presentation, training and facilitation skills. Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, 50001 and the Global Reporting Index (GRI) Ability to conduct independent research and communicate findings. Possess strong English oral and written skills, German a plus. SQL and Python programing knowledge.
