Capital Mrkts Sales & ServiceSupports the origination and structuring of corporate lending transactions, and coordinates with other products as an integral part of a larger coverage team that maintains strong client relationships. Includes providing lending expertise for a variety of sub-sectors under Financial Institutions, establishing credit facilities to support trading products business and facilitating credit approvals in support of Trade Finance products. Also provides ongoing management of the lending portfolio. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Portfolio Management/Credit Risk:
Reviews and assists in preparation of credit documentation (i.e. including applications, memoranda, presentations, etc.) for internal and external stakeholders.Provides analytical findings to deal teams.Researches and analyzes financial and operating information relating to companies and industries.Performs complex financial modeling and runs valuation analysis as part of client/ industry evaluations.Completes due diligence and credit analysis on new and existing client relationships.Prepares industry compilations.Completes quality reports/analyses.Applies technical concepts and understands implication of work to client/transaction.Develops an understanding of and proficiency in using all required systems and models.Considers risk, internal controls and compliance as part of day-to-day accountabilities and adheres to policies and procedures.Client Coverage:
Develops written internal and external marketing pitch material.Supports deal teams in development, presentation, and winning mandates.Seeks to develop an understanding of client needs and outcomes.Efficiency and Strategic Initiatives
Identifies opportunities for increased efficiency and improved service to internal and external clients.Supports the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.Ensures alignment between stakeholders.Provides feedback on, and, supports continuous improvement opportunities.Integrates information from multiple sources to enable more efficient processes, enhanced analysis and/or streamlined reporting.Qualifications:
Typically between 1 - 3 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Undergraduate degree has academic coursework in finance, economics, or accounting with an outstanding academic achievement.Relevant Financial Institutions sector experience is highly desired.Specialized knowledge and deep understanding of core financial and accounting principles including corporate structures, and capital markets products gained through a combination of education an experience.Analytical and problem solving strength with a strong aptitude and ability to perform in-depth financial analysis..Technical proficiency in financial computer applications and database management tools including excel and powerpoint in addition to industry platforms such as FactSet, Capital IQ is a plusStrong verbal and written communication skills with comfort preparing client-ready materials, drafting internal memos and completing credit write-ups.Proven ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams. Embraces feedback and contributes to a high-performance and collaborative team environment.Base Salary

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
