Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Position Overview:
Versant is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Compensation Analyst to support the design, implementation, and administration of its broad-based compensation programs. This role will be instrumental in providing data-driven insights, conducting market analyses, and ensuring the integrity and competitiveness of compensation practices across the organization. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong technical skills and a passion for compensation analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Data Analysis & Reporting
+ Analyze compensation data to identify trends, support decision-making, and ensure internal equity.
+ Prepare regular and ad hoc reports and dashboards for HR, Finance, and business leaders.
+ Market Benchmarking
+ Participate in compensation surveys and conduct market pricing for roles across the organization.
+ Assist in maintaining salary structures and pay ranges based on market data and internal benchmarks.
+ Program Support
+ Support the annual compensation planning cycle, including merit increases, bonus calculations, and salary adjustments.
+ Assist in the administration of short-term incentive programs and other compensation initiatives.
+ Job Evaluation & Documentation
+ Conduct job evaluations and support the development of job descriptions and leveling frameworks.
+ Ensure consistency and accuracy in job classification and compensation documentation.
+ Compliance & Governance
+ Help ensure compensation practices comply with relevant laws and regulations.
+ Support audit and reporting requirements related to compensation.
+ Collaboration & Communication
+ Partner with HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition to provide compensation guidance on offers and promotions.
+ Respond to inquiries and provide support on compensation-related matters.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
+ 2–4 years of experience in compensation, HR analytics, or related field.
+ Strong proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools; experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday) and compensation platforms (e.g., MarketPay) preferred.
+ Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset.

+ Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Subject to change based on Manager discussion or business need.
