**Job Description:**
**Position Summary:**
The Category Analyst supports item performance and sales execution by identifying and resolving issues tied to slow-moving, non-moving, and short-coded product. This role is responsible for building and maintaining a weekly tracker, using tools like PowerBI to analyze trends, and submitting timely root cause reporting.
Key focus areas include code date monitoring, item setup validation, pricing accuracy, and execution of seasonal product asks. The analyst works closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure product moves efficiently, is set up correctly in systems, and performs as expected during both everyday and promotional periods.
**Here's what you’ll do:**
+ Prepare various analyses of customer performance, track inbound and outbound inventory trends, pricing management, and market share performance and opportunity; recommend change or future actions based on such analysis.
+ Identify root causes related to item setup, pricing, inventory, and code dates
+ New item and assortment catalog management
+ Assist in the development and adoption of business reports to support the organization.
+ Collaborate with internal teams to resolve setup issues, ensure pricing accuracy, and support seasonal asks
+ Maintain cross-functional relationships with various levels and departments in and outside the organization.
+ Support process improvements to reduce shrink and improve product movement
+ Use systems like PowerBI to monitor trends and drive data-informed decisions.
+ Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
**Here’s what you’ll need:**
+ Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Food Marketing, Marketing is preferred but not required
+ One year experience in administrative, merchandising, sales, or account management,
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Strong problem solving and time/project management skills.
+ Ability to perform analysis, charting and reporting.
+ Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
