Analyst, Business Planning & Obsolescence
**Position Overview** The Obsolescence & Business Planning analyst is responsible for the delivery of actionable product performance insights in support of financial and operational decision-making. The role will involve regular review and update of obsolescence plans along with their recommended disposition and pricing strategies, monthly direct margin and revenue contribution analysis, and annual product budget support. This position serves as a critical link between Finance, Planning, Merchandising and other business units. **Location:** This position is in-person at our Corporate Headquarters in New York, NY. **Key Accountabilities** **Obsolete Product Planning:** + Perform regular analysis of inventory productivity and identify areas of opportunity to alleviate excess inventory. Partner with Finance on assessment and alignment of inventory risk. + Support cross-functional obsolescence process, guiding partners across Merchandising, Planning, Retail and Operations through lifecycle plans and disposition activities. + Present analyses and make recommendations on disposition plans which alleviate excess inventory, maximizing lifecycle planning goals and minimizing expense. Coordinate execution of disposition plans. + Act as subject matter expert for obsolescence reporting and execution. **Business Planning:** + Monthly preparation, review, and maintenance of Power BI data model and related reports to support revenue and margin variance analysis. Track performance of categories/collections and investigate causes of major deviations to high level performance. + Work with Manager and VP to develop and test quantitative results against qualitative assumptions. + Support development and administration of data used in annual product budget aggregation and reconciliation. **Employee Sales Product & Price Management:** + Recommend first time pricing structure for merchandise identified for sale through Employee Store or LVMH Group Channels, including discontinued items, Product Development samples, vendor seconds and overstocks. + Regularly review pricing in the context of sales, inventory, and duration. Make recommendations for price changes. + Ensure assortment alignment between Employee Store channels and partner on site merchandising opportunities. + Facilitate SKU creation when necessary and support ad hoc requests for Employee Store merchandise, in collaboration with Planning, Merchandising, E-Commerce and Retail Operations teams. **Ad Hoc Maintenance & Support:** + Identify opportunities for process improvement and reporting optimization. + Refresh / upkeep of legacy Category Reporting and Analytics data models. The hiring range for this position ranges from $77,010 - $104,190. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates’ relevant skills and experience. **Required Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in quantitative discipline or comparable experience + Prior experience in similar role with financial and operational inventory management + Excellent analytical skills and proficiency with Microsoft office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) + Clarity in communication, verbal and written + Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively across levels and functional areas + Results oriented and self-motivated with strong drive for achievement + Data Visualization/Analytics Tools (e.g. Business Objects, PowerBI or Tableau) Preferred Qualifications: + Data Analysis Languages (DAX, SQL, R, etc.) Tiffany & Co. is formed from many facets - talented people who make our community stronger with their creativity, perspective, and lived experience.
