Job Summary

The prime objective of the Analyst is to is to provide day-to-day servicing/administration of an assigned group of Syndicated facilities for which Royal Bank of Canada is Agent and their related loan drawings, fees, interest schedules and the settlement of secondary assignments

Job Description

Working Hours: 9AM-6PM

Process secondary assignments, and where required primary assignments, upon requests for assigned Borrowers in accordance with established guidelinesMonitor daily Settlement Date Coordination (SDC) Report for open trades and promptly update the status of all tickets and enter comments reflecting current settlement status in ClearPar (Timeline)Review trade to see if Buyer is on the DQ list, is a Lender of record or is an affiliate of a Lender of Record and begin consent process if requiredVerify that Seller has sufficient position in inventory or will have a sufficient position by settling an open trade on the same settlement date or priorReview Affiliate Letter and sub-allocations for minimum hold/purchase requirements per the credit agreementSelect a settlement date which shall not be later than T+7 on the Settlement Date Coordination Report on ClearPar, provided that trade is not delayed due to Borrower consent, Issuing Bank consent,  KYC pending or Agent Freeze/holdsCoordinate the execution of the Assignment and Assumptions agreement and determine Effective date in ClearParRecords Lenders’ position on ACBS on the Settlement Date as trade is made effectiveAct as verification officer for ACBS two touch transactions created by other AnalystsAction primary assignments post-closing ensuring DQ lists are up to dateEnsure that all transactions processed comply with KYC and AML guidelines, OFAC, FinCen, USA Patriot Act and other sanctions imposed from time to time by various government/regulatory agenciesMeet or exceed the service delivery expectations in terms of quality and timeliness as measured against department service standards, market standards and counterparties to the tradesIdentify gaps in Agency processes and recommend changes to minimize operational/reputational riskEvaluate new IT developments, evolving business requirements and recommend appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems by analyzing business processes, systems and industry standardsProvide input during development and implementation phases,  including formulation and definition scope, objective and necessary system enhancements for complex, high impact projectsOversight of Secondary Syndicated Loan Process which includes Data/KPI analysis,  dealing with external parties, and acting as an escalation contact. Act as a backup to other Analysts, Syndicated Loan Trading Analysts and Assistant Managers when required.Monitor wok allocation and Training of new analysts- assists in the preparation of the training schedule and conducts on the job training of all operational aspects of funding and related activities.
