**Job Summary** Responsible for all activities relevant to the Front Desk such as the reception, check-in / check-out, rooming of all Hotel guests, foreign exchange and assisting them with inquires. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** + Reports directly to and communicates with the Front Desk Supervisor or Duty Manager on all pertinent matters affecting guest service and hotel operations. + Needs to follow the IHG grooming standards. + Greets all guests at all times in a friendly and helpful manner and attempts to learn and use guest’s name at every opportunity. + Make sure to be fully aware of the arriving VIP and other notes. + Perform front desk activities as follows:・Check-in, check-out, take reservation, foreign exchange room change, etc…・Be aware of information about local events(restaurants, functions, meetings…)・Maintains cashier float and ensures accurate daily report of all money received.・Be aware of in house guests and upcoming reservations.・Up selling・Business center procedures・Handles guests complains + Reacts to situations to ensure guests receive prompt attention and personal recognition throughout the hotel + Provide the rooms to the guest with best price within the discount and upgrade policy.. + Knowledgeable of all special promotion procedures, for programs such as; Seasonal Packages, Frequent Flyer Programs, and also Intercontinental Hotels Group Loyalty programs. + Attends to guest’s complaints, inquiries and requests, referees problems to supervisor if he/she is unable to assist. + When on night shift, checks night report, prepare the morning report and prepare all necessary forms for the guest arrival + Takes personal interest and pride to ensure that the front desk work area is kept clean and in an orderly state at all times **Requirements** + 1 years experience in front office / guest services or related discipline including supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. + Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company. + Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Opera System + Able to read and write English / Japanese Don't quite meet every single requirement, but still believe you'd be a great fit for the job?
