Join our client's food manufacturing team at their Louisville, KY facility. We're hiring a skilled NH3 Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and safety of the ammonia refrigeration and utility systems. In this onsite role, you'll report directly to the Facilities Manager and play a critical part in ensuring the production environment runs safely and efficiently. ...
Responsibilities:
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on utility equipment to improve reliability and efficiency

Operate and monitor ammonia refrigeration systems, HVAC, boilers, air compressors, and hot water systems

Complete and maintain documentation on equipment operation, temperatures, run hours, pressures, refrigerants, and maintenance logs

Service, repair, and rebuild valves, pumps, and other utility-related components

Monitor condition room and utility system alarms, and coordinate resolution as needed

Support compliance with PSM/RMP programs, HACCP, GMP, food safety, and plant safety policies

Coordinate with outside contractors for utility and system repairs or enhancements

Participate in plant safety initiatives and Process Safety Management (PSM) programs

Assist with both major and minor repairs to plant utilities and infrastructure systems

Perform all job duties with a focus on safety and operational excellence

Other duties as assigned

Working hours: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Skills:
2-4 years of direct experience working with NH3 systems

Active RETA CARO Certification

Familiarity with PSM/RMP regulatory requirements and participation in related programs

Experience servicing large-scale industrial utility equipment such as ammonia refrigeration, boilers, and cooling towers

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum 2 years of experience in utilities maintenance with emphasis in HVAC/R, controls, or electrical systems

Ability to pass the RETA CARO (Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator) exam within 90 days of hire

Commitment to working safely and in compliance with regulations and internal policies

Availability to work Second or Third Shift in an onsite capacity
