Journeyman HVAC Technician/Pipefitter

Depending on Experience 30-55/hr

Job Description:

A local union contractor is seeking a field technician to support its ammonia refrigeration department.

90% of day-to-day work will be in servicing ammonia products and equipment:

•\tAmmonia testing, moisture testing, leak detection

•\tChange compressors, swap valves, and offset temperatures.

•\tCalibrate equipment, and pressure test systems.

•\tRoutine maintenance, quarter/annual checks, troubleshooting, customer service

10% of day-to-day work will be in new construction, equipment, system, and appliance installation.

Skills & Qualifications:

•\tExperienced with refrigerant maintenance (Required)

•\tExperience with Ammonia OR Freon (Required)

•\tExperience with industrial or commercial maintenance (Required)

•\tOn-call rotation (Required)

•\tHigh-pressure piping license, EPA license, CARO, CIRO certification (Any of these are nice to have)

•\tOSHA 10 (Preferred)

Schedule:

•\t7 AM-4 PM, Monday-Friday

•\tThursday-Wednesday on-call rotation, every 6-8 weeks

•\tOvernight travel, ONCE OR TWICE PER YEARIF ABLE, TRAVEL IN 5-STATE RADIUS, IF YOUR SCHEDULE DOES ALLOW, YOU CAN STAY LOCAL

•\tCasey\\'s, Hy-Vee, Ice Rinks, Cold Storage, industrial and commercial environment

•\t13 techs currently on the ammonia team

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $114254.00/yr.
