Micron is looking for an AMHS Equipment Maintenance Technician Supervisor who will be responsible for leading a team of shift technicians that sustain AMHS overhead delivery systems and tools by supporting manufacturing, improving efficiencies, correcting equipment troubles while increasing up time and product efficiency. Additionally, this role will be tasked with supervising team efforts towards the support of existing processes, correcting tool deviations through root cause analysis, supporting experiments while using data analysis to support and monitor the performance of the AMHS and supporting tools (sorters, scopes, & stockers).
Leadership responsibilities include setting priorities for the day and following up to ensure those priorities are being met, employee performance management, interacting with and being the liaison between AMHS and the fab process areas.
ResponsibilitiesHelp to develop safety protocols and improve current safety procedures and ensures team meets all department requirements for safety audits and good catches.Works with Equipment Engineers and/or Safety engineering to resolve tool related safety issues.Recognizes and reacts appropriately to safety alarms (EES, fire alarm, MDA, etc).Adheres to and proactively promotes cleanroom safety practices and procedures in the Fab.Basic Job ExpectationsUnderstand top priorities during the shift and directs shift resources appropriately.Ensures team reacts to tool down events in a timely, efficient, and correct manner.Establishes scenarios and guidelines for which skills are needed on shift and ensures accurate coverage (including overtime).Provides communication and coordination of problems/issues with the appropriate people including MTs, shift technicians, shift engineers, development engineers, area management, etc.Develops TeamSets specific performance and development goals with each individual in your team and creates an effective performance review for each individual of the team.Reviews progress of each technician with manager during 1 on 1.Ensures sufficient cross training so team can handle vacations and unplanned time off.Responsible for calling in overtime help when necessary.Mentors team members with leadership aspirations.Area LeaderStrive to be the on-shift expert for the entire team and acts as a resource for all questions and issues that arise on shift.Suggest and implement improvements related to AMHS area efficiency or optimization.Is an expert and resource on area software including but not limited to Micron Central, Space, MES, MCS, and OHTC.Sponsors, leads, or participates in area improvement teams.Establish and maintain effective relationships with other fab areas and gains their trust and respectMinimum Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree or AS/AAS degree in related field, or equivalent experience5 Years of recent Semiconductor experience specifically focused on AMHS or equivalent Factory Automation fieldsPreferred Qualifications:Direct experience with Muratec, Daifuku, or Asyst Shinko AMHS systemsDirect experience with Rorze sorters & stockers3-5 years in a formal leadership roleAs a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
