As a Lead Engineer – Sourced Automation, you will drive automation initiatives within the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team, focusing on sourcing automation solutions from external vendors. You will develop strategic plans, collaborate with internal teams, and oversee the successful deployment of these technologies to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and quality in manufacturing processes. Responsibilities: + Lead the Sourced Automation initiatives within the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team, overseeing the implementation of automation solutions sourced from external vendors. + Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, productivity, and quality through the adoption of automation technologies. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Procurement, Engineering, and Operations to identify automation needs and evaluate potential solutions from external vendors. + Manage relationships with external automation vendors, including negotiating contracts, establishing service level agreements, and ensuring compliance with quality and performance standards. + Ensure adherence to equipment standardization practices, facilitating consistency and compatibility across all automated systems. + Enforce equipment safety standards, ensuring that all automation solutions comply with regulatory requirements and internal safety protocols. + Provide leadership and direction to the Sourced Automation Engineer team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration. + Oversee the execution of sourced automation projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and technical specifications. + Serve as the primary point of contact for sourced automation activities, liaising with internal stakeholders and external vendors to address issues and drive continuous improvement. + Monitor industry trends and advancements in automation technology and evaluate their applicability to the organization's manufacturing processes and objectives.
