Position TitleAmbulatory Clinic RN-OsawatomieOsawatomie Medical PavilionPosition Summary / Career Interest:Join our small, rural health clinic where you’ll work alongside a dedicated, close-knit team that truly feels like family. Our staff includes three full-time providers (two MDs and one NP) and two part-time providers (one DO and one MD), all of whom are easygoing, collaborative, and passionate about educating and connecting with both patients and staff. You’ll enjoy a role that blends phone and computer triage with meaningful in-person interactions through nurse visits and patient education. With a patient population that spans from newborns to geriatrics, every day offers variety and the chance to make a real difference in our community.
The registered nurse utilized the nursing process to coordinate the interdisciplinary approach to patient care. Responsible for promoting and restoring patient's health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and team members; and providing physical and psychological support to patients and their families. Exhibits the core values of the organization, compassion, integrity and unity. He/she practices within the boundaries of the Kansas Nurse Practice Act, specialty standards, and organizational/departmental policies and procedures.Responsibilities and Essential Job FunctionsConsistently meets work schedule. Demonstrates critical thinking utilizing all aspects of the nursing process. Maintains a safe environment for patients. Coordinates health care services with hospital, vendors, physician's offices and other institutions. Answers patient/significant others phone calls, evaluate patient's needs, and triage patient care. Provides patient/family education using resources available. Acts as liaison between patient, significant others and health team members. Identifies area for professional growth. Participates fully as a member of the Patient Centered Medical Home Team. Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department. Required Education and ExperienceAssociate Degree Nursing High School Graduate
Preferred Education and Experience1 or more years of previous healthcare experience
Required Licensure and CertificationLicensed Registered Nurse (LRN) - Single State - State Board of Nursing OR Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) - Multi-State - State Board of Nursing Staff hired prior to 2/1/2024 are required to obtain a multistate state RN license from the state in which they live at the time of their next RN license renewal by 3/31/2026. CPR/ AED/ BLS - Other BLS
