The role Job Summary SoftwareOne is searching for a driven and enthusiastic Amazon Connect Developer to join our dynamic team. As an Amazon Connect Developer, you will play a key role in building, deploying, and optimizing innovative contact center solutions using Amazon Connect. This role combines advanced technical capabilities with a strong understanding of customer experience (CX) best practices, cloud contact center architecture, and agile delivery methodologies. Role and Responsibilities Solution Development & Integration Design and develop scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions using Amazon Connect. Integrate Amazon Connect with CRMs, ticketing systems, WFM tools, analytics platforms, and third-party APIs. Develop and manage AWS Lambda functions, APIs, and backend services to support contact flows and automation. CX-Focused Architecture & Design Collaborate with Business Analysts and Solution Architects to implement end-to-end customer journey solutions. Support the development of reusable contact flows, routing profiles, IVRs, and Lex bots. Ensure designs align with CX best practices, security policies, and customer goals. Testing & Quality Assurance Create and execute test plans for Amazon Connect components, Lambda logic, and backend integrations. Participate in peer code reviews and solution validation activities to maintain high code quality. Support user acceptance testing and production deployment planning. Continuous Improvement & Innovation Stay up to date on new Amazon Connect features and related AWS services. Contribute to internal frameworks, documentation templates, and automation tools for delivery excellence. Participate in sprint reviews and retrospectives to refine development practices and technical solutions. Collaboration & Support Work closely with cross-functional teams including project managers, analysts, and QA engineers. Provide technical input during client workshops and design sessions. Assist with troubleshooting and post-deployment support as needed. Success Criteria KPI Measurable Criteria Flow Development Velocity Deliver at least 10–15 contact flows or Lambda functions per month based on scope complexity. Deployment Accuracy Maintain >95% of deployments completed without critical post-launch defects or rework. Integration Success Rate Achieve >90% success rate on first-time AWS service integrations (e.g., Lex, DynamoDB). Code Reusability Reuse at least 25% of developed modules or functions across projects or create reusable libraries. Compliance Adherence Zero security or compliance issues flagged in code reviews or audits over a 6-month period. Organizational Alignment Goal: To deliver scalable, secure, and efficient Amazon Connect solutions that enable exceptional customer experiences across all client engagements. What we need to see from you What you offer Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Strong development experience with AWS services including Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, Kinesis, Lex, and S3. Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, and/or Node.js for AWS Lambda development. Familiarity with AWS CLI, SDKs, and Infrastructure as Code tools such as CloudFormation or CDK. Hands-on experience building and deploying Amazon Connect solutions in enterprise environments. Understanding of CX principles, customer journey orchestration, and contact center metrics. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders. AWS certifications related to development or Amazon Connect (e.g., AWS Certified Developer – Associate) are a plus. Preferred Attributes Keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences. Comfortable working in a dynamic, agile, and fast-paced environment. Multilingual fluency (Spanish preferred but not required). Ability to work independently while contributing to team success.
