Some weekends and evenings may be required for local events. **Is this a work study job?** No **VP Area** President **Department** 00326 - Office of Alumni Relations **Location** Campus **City** Salt Lake City, UT **Type of Recruitment** External Posting **Pay Rate Range** 15.00 **Close Date** 09/01/2025 **Priority Review Date (Note - Posting may close at any time)** **Job Summary** The Alumni Events and Engagement Intern will report to the Manager of Alumni Events and Engagement and support the work of the Alumni Engagement Team as it relates to both local and regional events. This role will work proactively to foster relationships with alumni as well as help create experiences for alumni to re-engage with the University of Utah. This role will work primarily on projects involving U Alumni’s signature events including, but not limited to: Homecoming, Tailgates, Graduation Season, Affinity Events, other events as needed, and data/project management of all U Alumni events to ensure alignment with strategic goals. We are looking for a student who is detail-oriented, efficient, self-reliant, creative, and a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment. **Responsibilities** -Assist with the planning and preparation of local alumni engagement events, attending these events on a frequent basis. This includes supporting events such as Alumni Tailgates prior to home football games, homecoming, graduation, and other events that support broader campus engagement. -Prepare event supplies, reports, and details for internal team and campus partners for events both locally and regionally. -Help strategize new ways to engage with the student population for on-campus events. -Update project management software to reflect team achievements and alignment with strategic goals. -Help organize, compile, and manage data and metrics relevant to bettering alumni engagement. -Manage U Alumni Calendars and ensure upcoming events are shared with the team and updated as needed. -Oversee internal swag inventory and process external requests. -Engage with, and help grow, the alumni community on several communication platforms the Forever Utah Network, Utah 360 app, and the U Alumni Chapters program. -Other duties as assigned. **Minimum Qualifications** **Preferences** **Special Instructions Summary** **Additional Information** The University is a participating employer with Utah Retirement Systems (“URS”).
