Some weekends and evenings will be required for local events. **Is this a work study job?** No **VP Area** President **Department** 00326 - Office of Alumni Relations **Location** Campus **City** Salt Lake City, UT **Type of Recruitment** External Posting **Pay Rate Range** 15.00 **Close Date** 11/14/2025 **Priority Review Date (Note - Posting may close at any time)** **Job Summary** + The Alumni Chapters Events and Engagement Intern will report to the Manager of Alumni Chapters and support the work of the Alumni Engagement Team as it relates to both local and regional events. + This role will work proactively to foster relationships with alumni as well as help create experiences for alumni to engage with the University of Utah. + This role will primarily work on projects involved U Alumni Chapters and events, including but not limited to: local chapter event and activities, regional event support (data/project management, etc.), Tailgates, Graduation season, Affinity events, and other event information and details as needed. This role will also support U Alumni data and project management goals, aligning the office with strategic goals set forth for this year. This role will also support alumni chapter social media goals, which will align with greater growth strategy. + We are looking for a student who is detail-oriented, timely and efficient, a self-starter and independent, creative, and a team player, who will thrive in a fast paced environment. **Responsibilities** + Assist with the planning and preparation of local alumni engagement events and attend these events on a frequent basis. + Prepare supplies, data reports, and details for internal team and campus partners for both regional and local events. + Support Alumni Chapters team in assisting alumni chapter leadership and Social Media Specialist in social media management and development. + Help organize, compile, and manage data and metrics relevant to bettering alumni engagement. + Other duties as needed or arise. **Minimum Qualifications** **Preferences** **Special Instructions Summary** **Additional Information** The University is a participating employer with Utah Retirement Systems (“URS”).
