Overview:
The Alpha Control Framework platform monitors business and data events across State Street and CRD platforms, providing transparency and enforcing operational controls throughout the client data management lifecycle; ultimately ensuring the highest data quality standards are met as part of our Alpha Data Services offering. The Control Framework is composed of several software components that have been developed to eliminate manual processing, reduce operational risk and engender confidence from our clients in the quality and completeness of their data.
State Street’s Alpha Data Services Product team is seeking a motivated self-starter with strong verbal, written and analytical skills to assist our team with the buildout of business process and data controls for new Alpha Data Service offerings.
The selected candidate will gain exposure to the business and data aspects of our Alpha Data Service offerings as well as several functional components of the Alpha Data Platform.
By the end of the cycle, the candidate will understand basic principles of Product Management, Business Analysis, Systems Analysis Data Analysis, Data Management, Data Warehousing, and Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC).
Job Description & Core Responsibilities:
Gain a solid understanding of the Alpha Data Services offerings, including data structures within the Alpha Data Warehouse, content types and client interaction modelsOrganize and conduct interview sessions with Product Subject Matter ExpertsCreate and update fact sheets for Alpha Data Services (ADS) standard controlsPerform research and assist with the development of new SQL based queries that will be converted to operational validations within our proprietary platformManage client and internal facing content about our controls, including documents and recorded content as neededAssist with gap analysis for clients’ requirements by researching existing control offeringsCollaborate with various teams to understand the usage of third-party toolsCreate action plans for development of new data quality controlsSkills & Qualifications:
5-7+ years Data Management, Accounting or Computer Science related job experience4-5+ years’ experience creating or reading SQL in Data Warehouse environment2-3 years’ experience working in AGILE SDLC team as BA or Product OwnerStrong inclination to proactively seek knowledgeExcellent problem solving and analytical skillsAttention to detail and organizationStrong written and verbal communication skillsTeam oriented and capable of working in a global settingWorking knowledge of JIRA, Confluence and Microsoft ExcelSalary Range:
$80,000 - $132,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
