Huntington’s Treasury Balance Sheet Management (BSM) team sits at the hub of the bank: we forecast the entirety of our balance sheet under various interest rate and economic scenarios to inform asset and liability management (ALM) decision, identify potential risks and recommend actions to mitigate the interest rate risk (IRR). From our position we track every line of business and keep a pulse on how the bank is performing overall.
Duties and Responsibilities
We are recruiting for a Data Engineering Lead to our ALM Modeling team who will be the manager and intellectual owner of the team’s data infrastructure for key areas of the bank’s balance sheet with statistical know-how and business sense.
Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
Lead Data Engineers projects and efforts and manage a group of data engineers who focus on certain portfolios on balance sheet and infrastructure.Leads the architecting, creating, and maintaining of data pipelines.Provides leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team members and develops the team to work with all areas of the organization.Work in partnership with data source teams outside the department, analytics teams in Treasury in refining data delivery and governance.Plans and ensures the execution of work, and achievement of team goals.Help set the strategy and tone for data engineering strategy and vision for the future.Anticipates and analyzes trends in technology while assessing the emerging technology’s impact(s).Performs other duties as assigned.Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, statistics, related fields, or relevant work experience in financial institutions10+ years of related experience in data management disciplines including data integration, modeling, optimization, and data quality, and/or other areas directly relevant to data engineering responsibilities and tasks.10+ years of technical leadership and experience with data-centric products, experience with database programming languages, and with advanced analytics toolsPreferred Requirements:
Master's degree in computer science, statistics, or related fieldsExpert experience with data engineering tooling (e.g., SQL, Python, AWS)Hands on experience implementing data models in Financial Services cashflow forecasting engines, including QRM, Bankware, Empyrian, or others.Strong experience in working with large, heterogeneous datasets in building and optimizing data pipelines, pipeline architectures and integrated datasets.Strong experience with various Data Management architectures and processesStrong knowledge of BI and/or Tableau software toolsLearn and/or Agile methodology.Demonstrated ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences.Demonstrated participation and leadership in the broader technology community.Ability to foster an inclusive and innovative working environment.Demonstrated negotiation, influencing, partnership & presentation/communication skills.Ability to understand business challenges and translate them into value added, data driven solutions.Willingness and ability to learn new technologies on the job and adept to changes in data and infrastructure.

Compensation Range:
$93000-$189000 Annual SalaryThe compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan. In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
