Location/Division Specific InformationOur PPD® Laboratory Services team has a direct impact on improving patient health through the expertise of scientists, industry thought-leaders and therapeutic experts. Discover Impactful Work:Serve as the main liaison for key strategic accounts within the PPD Central Laboratory services model, providing operational guidance, governance leadership, and strategic partnership expertise. Drive account growth, foster long-term client relationships, and ensure delivery excellence in alignment with client needs and Thermo Fisher Scientific objectives.
A day in the Life:Primary Scope: Oversees the most complex and strategically significant BioPharma accounts, with a focus on growth, enterprise-level impact, and multi-business unit integration across global geographies.Client Engagement Level: Partners closely with senior and executive client leadership, shaping joint strategic roadmaps while maintaining oversight of operational performance and identifying long-term growth levers.Decision-Making Latitude: Defines governance direction for the most critical BioPharma partnerships; drives decisions that influence enterprise-wide strategies and resource allocations.Business Development Role: Takes an active role in high-value enterprise negotiations and strategic opportunity development, providing insight and alignment from a delivery and governance perspective.Governance & Issue Management: Establishes governance best practices for BioPharma strategic accounts; leads resolution of Central Labs (and ASD where appropriate) escalations and ensures systemic improvements. Represents Centrals Labs for enterprise-wide issues.Internal Influence: Influences senior leadership across Thermo Fisher divisions; aligns multiple business units to shared partnership strategies for BioPharma growth.Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Champions enterprise-level innovation in BioPharma partnership models; represents Thermo Fisher in strategic industry forums.Leadership & Team Development: Provides strategic leadership to the entire Alliance Leadership community; sets long-term vision for BioPharma alliance management capabilities.Keys to Success:EducationBachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualificationExperienceBachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualificationPrevious experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 12+ years).5+ years of management responsibility (Exceptions can apply)Strong leadership skillsIn some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesExceptional communication and influencing skills for engaging senior and executive client leadership.Strategic thinking capabilities to shape multi-year partnership roadmaps for complex BioPharma accounts.Proven ability to align multiple business units to shared strategic objectives.Advanced business acumen to identify and activate enterprise-level growth opportunities.Skilled in establishing governance best practices for enterprise-wide adoption.Proficiency in driving or actively participating in resolving enterprise-level escalations and driving systemic improvements.Ability to champion innovation in BioPharma partnership models and represent the organization in industry forums.Capacity to provide strategic leadership and vision to the Alliance Leadership community.Work EnvironmentThermo Fisher Scientific values the health and wellbeing of our employees.
