Summary This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT PNEUDRAULIC SYSTEMS MECHANIC - Title 32, Position Description Number D0097000 and is part of the WI 115 AMXS, Wisconsin Air National Guard. *This vacancy is also advertised as AGR Job Announcement Number 25-097ANG* Responsibilities As a AIRCRAFT PNEUDRAULIC SYSTEMS MECHANIC - Title 32, WG-8268-10, you will be responsible for the inspection, repair and maintenance of aircraft fuel cells, water injection, antidetonant (ADI), and inflight refueling systems. Utilizing extensive knowledge of fuel systems maintenance practices and procedures, incumbent troubleshoots the systems and determines extent and type of preventive and/or repair maintenance required and performs all necessary repairs, installation, and operational checks. Requirements Conditions of Employment MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. Military Grades: E-1 through E-6 Compatible Military Assignments: AFSC: 2A6XX ***Trainees will be accepted*** Conditions of Employment: National Guard Membership is required. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation. May be required to successfully complete a probationary period. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission. Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day. Qualifications GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which demonstrates your knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical principles; knowledge of troubleshooting procedures used to isolate malfunctions in aircraft pneudraulic systems; and ability to use technical manuals, equipment specifications, and test calibration procedures in performing the work. ***Trainees will be accepted ***SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify for the WG-10 level, you must have at least 18 months experience or training which provided a knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical principles. Experience in fabricating fuel, oil and vacuum hose lines. Experience in servicing, maintaining, disassembling assembling, repairing and testing hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Experience in diagnosing malfunctions and overhauling pneudraulic accessories by disassembling, cleaning part and examining parts. Experience in diagnosing trouble and determining remedies. Experience in repairing, rebuilding and overhauling major systems of ground equipment and pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Experience in mechanical repairs using hand tools and test equipment. Experience that demonstrates the ability to interpret technical manuals, specifications and publications.
