Aircraft Mechanic III AH-64D\/E Quality Inspector

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:\n\nWill perform Field and Sustainment Level maintenance support\/augmentation to include: Production control, Quality Control, Supply Management, maintenance, and repair of aircraft, as well as launch and recovery of aircraft prior to and after the conduct of flight activities. \nShall work in specialized shops associated with fixed base operations Field Level maintenance as well as perform troubleshooting and maintenance repairs on the flight line in Hopkins, SC.\n\n

DUTIES:\n\nImplements quality control and ground safety programs to ensure compliance with contract specifications. \nInspects and verifies proper completion of documentation of Safety of Flight discrepancies. \nBriefs and debriefs pilots and crew members assigned to perform functional check flights. \nPerforms audits and inspections of work center and maintenance actions, procedures, equipment, and facilities. \nExamines parts and components for conformance to design specification to determine serviceability; serviceable, unserviceable-repairable, unserviceable-non repairable, affixing appropriate form\/tag for disposition; return to stock, route to appropriate shop for repair and\/or turn-in. \nReviews maintenance source documents, aircraft inspection records, notes, recurring discrepancies, or trends and initiates appropriate action. \nMonitors timeliness and applicability of aircraft maintenance technical data and\/or technical library. Manages the technical improvement program and reviews engineering investigative requests. \nInitiates and reviews quality deficiency reports, technical deficiency reports and hazardous material reports to ensure completeness and accuracy. \nDocuments and review aircraft weight and balance date to ensure accuracy and provide oversight during actual aircraft weighing procedures. \nProvides support to Quality Assurance\/Environmental, Safety and Health Program by supporting the overarching requirements of the AS9110 Quality and Safety management plan.\nOther duties as assigned\n\n

EDUCATION\/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:\n\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nMust have 5 years verifiable AH-64 Technical Inspector experience\nMust have 10 years verifiable AH-64 experience\nMust be a graduate of Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Course and or Advanced Leaders Course\nA valid A&P license is desired\nMust have completed a AH-64 (15R) course graduate or other service equivalence.\nMust be a US Citizen\nMust have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.\n\n
