Job Type: Full-Time, Consultant (9 Months)
Schedule: Monday – Friday; must be available for variable shifts (1st, 2nd & 3rd)
Pay Rate: $35.00/hour

PDS Tech Commercial, partnering with a global leader in the aerospace industry, is seeking skilled Aircraft Mechanics to support the VC-25B Program in San Antonio. This is an exciting opportunity to work on one of the most high-profile aircraft programs in the world—where your expertise will directly contribute to mission readiness, safety, and innovation.

What You’ll Do

As an Aircraft Mechanic, you will:

Perform electrical modifications on and off aircraft, including wiring and system components.

Execute complex connector terminations (shielded wires, coaxial cables, and fiber optic wiring).

Route, seal, wrap, bond, and install wire harnesses and cables to specification.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, and retrofit requirements.

Conduct troubleshooting and operational testing of aircraft electrical and environmental systems.

Perform assembly, installation, and inspection of wire bundles and electrical assemblies.

Ensure compliance with safety standards, government, and company regulations.

Collaborate across teams (Structures, Avionics, General Mechanics) to achieve cost and schedule goals.

Train and mentor junior team members and lead complex task teams when required.

What You Bring

Basic Qualifications (Required):

High School Diploma or equivalent.

4+ years of experience performing aircraft electrical/electronic work.

Strong understanding of electrical/electronic theories and systems.

Ability to work rotating shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).

Capable of meeting physical requirements, including climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, lifting up to 35 lbs., and wearing protective gear. Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance. This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               

Preferred Qualifications (Desired):

Experience with Depot Level/Modification maintenance.

Ability to operate forklifts, mobile cranes, or electric-powered elevating equipment.

Pay Details: $35.00 per hour
