Job overview and responsibilities
Technicians are responsible for all work being performed on shift. Technicians may be required to test, check and certify for service work performed.
An employee whose job includes all work generally recognized as Mechanic work in company designated stations. This may include power plants, Line, ETOPS, TDY (fueling), parts, ground equipment, facilities and other related work as directed by leadership.
Hold Safety as a core value and contribute to the achievement of a zero harm and incident/injury free environment through active participation in the Untied Safety Management System including Safety Action Team (SAT)Must be punctual, reliable and complying with the Company’s Time and Attendance policy and expectations (dated 01 Nov 2021 and as amended from time to time)Responsibility for all aircraft maintenance activities at respective international line stations (within respective jurisdiction)This includes the accomplishment of all routine and non-routine maintenance requirementsEnsure that all aircraft maintenance documentation and certification is carried out and completed in accordance with the GMM, Company policies and procedures, and FAA regulationsReview inbound aircraft maintenance requirements and maintenance history, including review of logbooks and AHMMaintains clear and professional communication with work colleagues, management and other United Airlines departments as required, including TOMC and Customer ServiceAttend and/or complete company training prior to specified deadlines as necessaryThis includes Third Party contract requirementsPer qualifications and by management agreement, perform the role of Designated Station Trainer (DST)This includes planning, delivering training and ongoing measurement of training outcomesAbility to gain, hold and maintain additional Company authorization for aircraft engine ground running, Boroscope inspection and RII as requiredPer qualifications and by management agreement, complete station Audits as per the Audit 360 programThis includes monitoring corrective actionsMust adhere to all Company policies and procedures, and respective EBA requirementsMust possess AP license and/or the ability to gain such license 6 months after hire dateMust be eligible to obtain an ASICMust hold a current valid Drivers’ licenseOther duties as required and as directed by Technical Operations ManagementNote - Technicians may be required to work at other Line stations in the region, including TDY stations, or as directed by management. Locations may be interstate or overseas. A discussion will be held with Management to discuss necessary arrangements, prior to travel.
