Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking someone to join our flight department team! SEL is responsible for keeping the lights on, by designing and manufacturing digital relays and power grid protection, control and monitoring systems. As an Aircraft Crew Chief working in this fast paced and exciting flight department, you will help SEL utilize our fleet of aircraft as an important business tool to their peak!

The Aircraft Crew Chief will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

Maintaining and troubleshooting of aircraft during scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance events, including pre/post flightsMaintaining aircraft technical records, including FAR requirements, industry requirements and customer requestsProvide fault analysis and corrective action recommendations, if necessaryPerform duties of flight tech and crew member on flights requiring additional support, including domestic and international flights, and the ability to assist in cabin evacuation and emergencies.Perform inspection of incoming parts, including all documentation and physical condition.Perform cleaning and restocking duties as required.Safely and effectively perform aircraft tugging operations.Capable of performing any of the responsibilities listed above at our KLWS base of operations.

You may qualify for an SEL Aircraft Crew Chief if you…

Have at least 5 years experience on corporate aircraft (Gulfstreams preferred)Have at least 3 years experience in a corporate aviation settingMaintain an A&P license (IA preferred, also)Willing and able to travel (egress specialist, flight tech, training) up 10%/yearYou enjoy working in a team environmentAre confident in working aloneAre willing and able to cover or be on call over weekends and holidays

Pay Range Data

We anticipate filling this position between $103,000 - $155,000. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
