AIR PLANNER
Summary You will serve as a AIR PLANNER in the HQ USINDOPACOM of HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND. Responsibilities You will provide expertise in the planning of: full spectrum operations; manned and unmanned platform operations; kinetic and non-kinetic attacks; special munition considerations; and mitigation of risk. You will support a team comprised of all-domain subject matter experts from across the Joint Force in the planning of integrated Joint Fires plans supporting command operations. You will maximize Joint unity of effort through developing, publishing, and updating Air support to integrated Joint fires plans in alignment with the Commander’s intent and priorities of efforts. You will coordinate with subordinate joint forces, sub-unified commands, service components, and functional components to ensure contingency and crisis plans provide flexible Joint fires options. You will plan, organize, and lead others in comprehensive studies or projects and preparing accurate, technically sound recommendations. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following: 1) Providing expertise in the planning of: full spectrum operations; manned and unmanned platform operations; kinetic and non-kinetic attacks; special munition considerations; and mitigation of risk; 2) Supporting a team comprised of all-domain subject matter experts from across the Joint Force in the planning of integrated Joint Fires plans supporting command operations; 3) Coordinating with subordinate joint forces, sub-unified commands to ensure contingency and crisis plans provide flexible Joint fires options; 4) Having knowledge of Joint Fires planning, policies, processes and procedures along with demonstrated experience in Joint Targeting Cycle planning, execution, and assessment; 5) Possessing skill in planning, organizing, and leading others in comprehensive studies or projects and preparing accurate, technically sound recommendations; and 6) Having knowledge of military command structure, military staff organization, and operations at a Combatant Command or equivalent strategic-level organization.
