Job Description

Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Air Barrier & Waterproofing Installer to join our growing business. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Installer to take on a very vital role in expanding our air barrier and waterproofing division. While ABAA Level Certification is preferred, it is not required for this role. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience and the ability to lead a crew on site daily.

Essential Functions

Install Air Barrier and waterproofing on commercial construction sites according to manufacturer specifications and drawings.

Inspect/prepare the substrate for proper application of materials.

Maintain a clean and safe work area on the job site while adhering to all site specific and company safety protocols.

Ensure compliance with ABAA Standards and their installation guidelines.

Properly handle and store all tools, materials, and equipment.

Work with a variety of materials.

Collaborate with site supervisors, project managers, and other trades on site to ensure efficient job progress.

Attend all site meetings held by the general contractor and ensure potential changes to the drawings do not affect our scope of work.

Maintain consistent contact with our team to report and resolve issues on site.

Lead a crew, ensuring all tasks are completed on schedule and up to code.

Complete daily reports on the company iPad and submit the reports through our system.

Ensure daily tickets are reviewed and signed by supervisor daily and returned to project managers weekly.

Collaborate with our Project and Production Managers in the office for Pre-con meetings to review the project scope.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience in air barrier and waterproofing installation.

ABAA Level 3 Certification is preferred by not required at the time of hiring.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings

Ability to lead a crew and provide a safe and productive working environment for the crew.

Strong attention to detail and communication skills with the general contractor and our team.

Travel Requirements

Type of Travel Required:  Local

Out of town travel as required.

Daily travel to job sites.

Physical Requirements

Able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted to load and unload various products. Climb, stoop, kneel, crawl, and stand to perform daily work and ladder climbing, as needed.
