As a centralized team, we play a vital role in AI Audio and Voices at Meta, and we are uniquely positioned to drive company-wide innovation and success. **Required Skills:** AI Voice and Audio Lead, Sound Design Responsibilities: 1. Support a small team of AI Leads on Voice and Audio, across multiple projects of increasing dependencies and complexities of high-impact, facilitating career growth, and creating a collaborative relationships that lead to impact 2. Actively influences the strategy and shaping of the roadmap for Creative Audio AI and sets the approach, direction and goals for the team 3. Applied knowledge of domain, business, market, and industry to advance overall team goals 4. Help manage resources and headcount against a wide, varied, and fast-evolving portfolio of projects 5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate audio into the product development process 6. Work with technical sound designers, conversational designers, voice lead, creative coders, engineers, PMs and researchers to develop innovative AI audio experiences 7. Provide creative and technical direction and guidance to AI leads and creative coders 8. Stay up-to-date with AI industry trends and emerging AI technologies 9. Represent the AI Audio Team in cross-functional meetings and presentations 10. Ensure strategic partnerships are effective with Engineering, Design, and Product Management teams across Meta 11. Advocate for the role and value of audio across Meta and in the larger creative community 12. Understand the strengths and opportunities on the current team as it grows, and recruit for new roles and actively participate in the hiring process 13. Build a broad and welcoming environment across the team, model respectful behavior, and hold team members accountable **Minimum Qualifications:** Minimum Qualifications: 14. 10+ years of professional sound design, text-to-speech voice development, technical sound design, or equivalent experience in AI 15. Implementation experience, focused on high-quality sonic experiences 16. 7+ years experience assembling and managing teams of creative and technical experts with specialties, including hiring and developing people 17. Experience with tuning audio hardware experiences using sound tools and/or DSP 18. Experience leading Cross Functional teams and managing multiple vendors 19. Experienced critical listening skills, experience with verifying audio quality on software and hardware with a proven ear for maintaining high quality 20. Experience with voice production or audio post production, including casting, recording, voice direction, editing, and mastering 21. Proficiency in digital audio workstations and editing tools (Pro Tools and Izotope RX) 22. Experienced in understanding of DSP, audio synthesis, and digital audio concepts and formats 23. Scripting or programming experience (Python, C++, JavaScript) 24. Experience with AI and generative AI systems (e.g. LLMs), and/or text-to-speech model training 25. Familiarity with QA processes, test plans, and bug tracking 26. Demonstrated communication skills, and experienced communication to executive stakeholders 27. Experience of communicating with and enabling others to drive impact 28. Demonstrate experience in collaborative design practice **Preferred Qualifications:** Preferred Qualifications: 29. Experience with coding or advanced scripting for complex sound implementation 30. Familiarity with studio and location recording, editing, mixing, and mastering 31. Experience working with distributed teams 32. Experience in advancing AI techniques, including core contributions to open source libraries and frameworks in computer vision 33. Experience establishing an Audio team within an established organization 34. Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and RAG methodologies 35.
