What you’ll do

We’re looking for a creative and driven individual to join our Emerging Technologies & Cyber Innovation team, where UX/UI design meets Cyber Security. In this role, you’ll lead the creation of intuitive, high-impact security-focussed design assets, standards, and guidance that simplify complex technical concepts and enhance communication across people, processes, and technologies. You’ll be responsible for translating Cyber Security principles into clear, engaging, and interactive visual content - leveraging cutting-edge AI tools to develop interactive documentation and design systems that are both functional and elegant. Working closely with stakeholders, you’ll contribute to pioneering projects that strengthen our Cyber Security posture through DevSecOps, Cloud, and AI technologies, all while ensuring alignment with privacy regulations and software engineering best practice.

Key Responsibilities

Front-end Development: Enhance and simplify web sites using front-end development skills.Cyber Technical Documentation: Creating and maintaining technical documentation and visual assets that clearly articulate complex security conceptsCross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborating with internal stakeholders, including Security Chapters and managing our DevSecOps Hub and Spoke, to ensure alignment and clarity in communicationEngagement with External Stakeholders: Enhancing engagement with external stakeholders- particularly top UK universities - through improved communication strategies and in-person interactions. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support our external engagement strategyDesigning On-brand Content: Design and maintain engaging, on-brand digital content across web and social media platformsResearch and Innovation: Stay up to date with the latest advancements in Cyber Security and Emerging TechnologyProject Management: Assist in managing projects from conception to deployment, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.Impact on the business: The AI UX/UI Security Developer role will have a significant impact on Vodafone’s business by translating complex Cyber Security concepts into intuitive, user-centric digital experiences that enhance understanding and adoption across the organisationLeadership and teamwork: The AI UX/UI Security Developer demonstrates leadership by proactively driving innovation in Cyber Security communication, setting design standards, and guiding the creation of intuitive, high-impact digital assetsInnovation and change: Responsible for supporting to drive a perception change from security from being seen as an inhibiter to a business differentiatorCustomers, supplier and third parties: Work heavily with all stakeholders, including our active Security Chapters and Champions, to forge a community within Vodafone to promote secure by designWho you are

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

Technical Proficiency – Strong front-end development skills and fluency in digital design tools, with the ability to create intuitive, accessible, and on-brand user interfaces and documentationCyber Security Awareness – Solid understanding of Cyber Security principles, DevSecOps, Cloud, and Responsible AI, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly contentAI Tool Fluency – Proficiency in leveraging advanced AI platforms (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, Google Vertex) to enhance design, documentation, and innovation workflowsCommunication & Stakeholder Engagement – Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and present technical content to non-technical audiencesCollaboration & Influence – Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams (e.g., Security Architecture, Secure by Design) and external partners (e.g., universities), fostering alignment and shared understandingInnovation & Continuous Learning – A proactive mindset toward emerging technologies and trends, with a commitment to continuous upskilling and experimentationProject & Time Management – Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities, deliverables, and timelines in an agile, fast-paced environmentNot a perfect fit?
