We are seeking an experienced AI Product Owner to join our Agile Release Train (ART) and drive the tactical execution of AI product development within the SAFe framework. This role focuses on managing team backlogs, driving functional discussions with internal customers, and ensuring successful delivery of AI features and capabilities while collaborating closely with Product Management, System Architecture, and development teams.
**This is a hybrid position based in Charlotte, NC; Cedar Rapids, IA; or Windsor Locks, CT.**
What YOU will do:
Define and prioritize AI product backlog - Maintain and sequence features, user stories, and enablers for AI/ML capabilities based on stakeholder input, business value, and technical dependencies.
Collaborate with data science and engineering teams - Bridge business needs with technical AI/ML implementation, ensuring alignment between stakeholders and development teams.
Ensure responsible AI practices - Champion ethical AI principles, fairness, transparency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Translate business requirements into AI use cases - Convert stakeholder needs into actionable AI/ML features and experiments.
Manage stakeholder expectations - Communicate AI capabilities, limitations, and development progress to leadership and customers.
Validate AI solutions with users - Conduct demos, gather feedback, and ensure AI features deliver intended value.
Drive cross-functional alignment - Coordinate between business, data, enterprise service, and compliance teams to deliver end-to-end AI solutions.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position. (U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder).
Experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager.
8+ years of progressive experience in software development.
Proficiency in advanced software design paradigms and programming languages
Familiarity with AIOps concepts and tools with Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, AWS Sam Script) a plus.
Must be okay with 10% travel. 7

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
