i3 is seeking an AI/ML Technical Support Engineer to support an Army contract. You will be an integral part of our dynamic team, providing technical assistance and operational support to our AI/ML researchers and engineers. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the smooth operation and optimal performance of our AI development environment, with an emphasis on our PyTorch framework. Beyond reactive support, you'll proactively identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to the overall efficiency of our development lifecycle. This position is expected to be performed fully onsite in Huntsville, AL.
Responsibilities Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting for our AI/ML development environment, with a deep understanding of PyTorch.Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of AI/ML development tools and platforms, including those leveraging Ollama, StarCoder, and Cody AI.Collaborate closely with AI/ML engineers to understand their needs and provide timely solutions to technical challenges.Develop and maintain documentation for common issues, best practices, and standard operating procedures.Play a key role in our software assurance efforts by utilizing tools such as Fortify or SwA (Software Assurance Tool) to scan code and identify potential vulnerabilities or quality issues.Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development workflows and tooling.Stay current with the latest advancements in AI/ML technologies and related support tools.Use tools like ARMY Software Assurance Tool and Fortify to scan software packages and buildsConfiguration management and system administration for the systems and resources needed to implement new solutions. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 3-10 years of progressive experience in a technical support, DevOps, or system administration role, preferably within an AI/ML or data science environment. Additional years of experience may be substituted for degree. Familiarity with the Python ecosystem, including conda-forge, and experience working with PyTorch and LLMs.Familiarity with Virtualization and containerization technologies such as podmanStrong communication skills and adept at translating technical topics to a diverse audienceAnalytical troubleshooting skillsActive Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain ClearanceDoD 8570.01-M compliance such as Security+Preferred Experience:
