Summary: The AI/ML Specialist integrates AI/ML capabilities into the data mesh, supporting metadata automation and ethical AI use aligned with DoD Responsible AI guidelines. *This role is based in Falls Church, VA with possible telework. Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: Automate metadata extraction using ML. Validate AI/ML pipelines and produce readiness reports. Ensure explainability, drift detection, and compliance in testbeds. Support data-driven innovation for clinical and operational analytics. Qualifications Necessary Skills and Knowledge: Understanding of conceptual, logical, and physical data models; normalization and denormalization. Knowledge of data extraction, transformation, and loading using tools. Design and implementation of scalable data warehouses and data lakes. Ability to design efficient data solutions based on business needs. Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in Data Science, AI, or related field. Certification in ML (e.g., TensorFlow Developer). Mid to Senior level (4-7 years, 2+ in DoD/healthcare). 4+ years in AI/ML development. Must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Expertise in NLP, OCR, and DoD AI guidelines. Familiarity with Advana’s analytics tools. Pay and Benefits The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $150,000 annually.
