Are you a skilled Mechanical Fitter with a passion for automation and cutting-edge technology? We have an exciting opportunity for you to work with Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs)! Join our Belrose team and be part of an innovative environment where you’ll play a key role in assembling, installing, and maintaining AGVs, ensuring they operate safely, smoothly, and efficiently.
Hours of Work: this position may require occasional weekend or overtime work depending on project deadlines.WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON
Assembly & Installation: Build and fit mechanical components, ensuring precise alignment and functionality.
Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and fix faults in drive systems, wheels, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
System Integration: Collaborate with electrical and software teams to synchronize mechanical components with automation systems.
Quality Control: Ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance, inspections, and technical feedback.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and technicians while mentoring junior team members.
Tasks and Qualifications:WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
High school diploma or equivalent: mandatory.
Technical certifications/qualifications in mechanical fitting, engineering, or a related field: preferred.
2-5 years hands-on experience in mechanical fitting, preferably in automation or robotics.
Experience with AGV systems or similar automation technology is advantageous.
Proficiency in using mechanical tools, machines, and diagnostic equipment.
Knowledge of mechanical systems, robotics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Familiarity with safety procedures and quality control standards in mechanical fitting
Ability to lift heavy components and work in a physically demanding environment
