**Job Description:**
GDIT is hiring an Agile Project Manager to join our cutting-edge GenAI and Agentic AI delivery team supporting the Unified Claims Acceleration Platform (UCAP) at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
We are accelerating the digital transformation of claims processing, delivering AI-driven automation and multimodal solutions at scale. We’re seeking an Agile Product/Project Manager with deep experience in Agile delivery, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and domain expertise in VA processes and systems.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Serve as the Agile Product/Project Manager for a cross-functional GenAI scrum team building novel AI solutions (LLMs, agentic workflows, multimodal processing, etc.)
+ Manage scope, schedules, and deliverables across Agile sprints and program increments to meet VA’s strategic goals.
+ Collaborate with VA stakeholders, product owners, data scientists, and engineers to define, prioritize, and track requirements and use cases.
+ Translate business and functional requirements into actionable user stories with acceptance criteria.
+ Coordinate across multiple teams (e.g., Pega workflow, integration, AI/ML) to ensure alignment of dependencies and release milestones.
+ Facilitate Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily standups, demos, and retrospectives.
+ Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and impediments—drive resolutions across technical and program management teams.
+ Ensure compliance with VA processes, documentation standards, and stakeholder reporting protocols.
+ Champion human-centered design and responsible AI implementation across all project stages.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
+ 8+ years of IT business analysis/project management experience with 4+ years in an Agile delivery environment as product/project manager.
+ Demonstrated experience managing complex projects with AI/ML components and modern data architectures.
+ **Must have 4+ years of hands-on experience supporting VA programs with product or systems development, deployment and maintenance—must have in-depth familiarity with VA systems, stakeholders, and process frameworks.**
+ **Must have 2+ years of supporting VA programs with Veterans benefits delivery or benefits support**
+ Strong leadership and collaboration skills across both business and technical teams.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate clearly with executives and engineers alike.
+ Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or VersionOne.
+ Understanding of AI product lifecycle, including data sourcing, model training, human feedback, and responsible AI principles.
+ Must be able to obtain and maintain a VA Public Trust clearance (Level 2).
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Prior experience delivering projects with Generative AI, LLMs, or multimodal models in government settings.
+ SAFe, PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent Agile certifications.
+ Familiarity with VA systems such as VistA, Pega, VES, DOCMP, or CIPM.
+ Exposure to tools and platforms such as Amazon SageMaker, Bedrock, LangChain, or Azure OpenAI.

The likely salary range for this position is $133,025 - $179,975. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
