About the Role
The Product Owner will lead the strategic direction and daily operations of AIA’s Agents’ Portal, driving enhancements and ensuring seamless delivery of complex requirements through Agile methodologies. This role demands strong business analysis capabilities, stakeholder engagement, and a hands-on approach to optimize agency recruitment processes, support production activities, and align technology solutions with business goals.Job Responsibilities
Product Owner responsible for overseeing the operations and strategic direction of agency applications of Agency Distribution Technology systems/applications – Agents’ Portal.This person will facilitate working in SDLC/Agile environment, User Story documentation, UAT strategy and planning and implementation of complex requirements ensuring all projects are delivered on time with expected quality.Demonstrated ability and expertise in gathering, analyzing, and detailing complex business requirements with multiple stakeholders.Understand key agency metrics to identify potential pain points/ opportunities for targeted intervention / improvement for the app and platform. Conduct gap analysis and recommend solutions that aligns with business goals.Responsible for supporting the day-to-day activities of Agents’ Portal and enhancement requirement preparation. Perform testing and handle post deployment verification by ensuring AIA governance and procedures is followed.Solid experience and exposure in managing and driving efficient production support / BAU processes.Work with hands-on approach to ensure various business needs and related technology support are met, identify business process inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement and aligned with overall business and system enhancement objectives.Ability to handle multiple priorities and manage within deadlines during critical project delivery. Good interpersonal skills, committed, result oriented and hard working.Support change management team with guides, enquiries support to agency helpdesk channel (when required).Job Requirements
Education – Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Management, Business, or a related field.Experience: Minimum 7 years of BA experience in Finance Industry with in-depth understanding of insurance distribution and agency management processes.Hands-on approach: Candidate must have a hand-on working mindset with managing and working with small group of team members. Candidate must have problem solving and troubleshooting attitude to look for solutions within the available means and resources.Insurance Systems: Candidate must have worked and have hands-on experience for implementing, supporting and managing key insurance critical application such as agent/customer portal or application, policy admin system and reporting system.Core & Digital Projects: Proven experience managing complex implementations of both core and digital projects with deep understanding of challenges and expectation management of such environment.Production support: Candidate must have sufficient experience and exposure for managing and driving efficient production support / BAU processes.Project Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Good understanding on Project Management fundamental & governance.#LI-DNI
