Our Taneytown, MD Pump Manufacturing facility is over 150,000 square feet and provides the capability for engineering, design, customer service, machining, assembly, and testing for a diverse product portfolio, which serves all markets (power, oil & gas, water resources, general industry, and chemical). The facility has expanded four times since opening in 1971 to accommodate revenue growth and product line developments. The entire project lifecycle is experienced all under the same roof.
Role Summary:
This position will be part of the Aftermarket team here at Taneytown, MD. The primary function of this position is to provide prompt, courteous, and competent inside sales support.
Responsibilities:
Process aftermarket parts orders by confirming price, channel of sale discount, and correctness of the items for the particular pump size and type described on the Customer’s order.Develop an in-depth understanding of our ERP systems (currently SYMIX and FASTRAQ) to perform a multitude of tasks including order entry, part # creation, job and purchase order creation, order error resolution, commissions, and all other functions needed for correct order release into production for both Taneytown and Hastings parts business.Provide the required data and information to allow manufacture, assembly and shipment of parts to meet customer’s required date.Collaborate and interact with other departments on a daily basis to support on-time delivery of orders.Participate in departmental and site Continuous Improvement and Cycle Time Reduction projects related to the aftermarket parts business.Assist with customer service-related activity related to aftermarket needs such as order expedites, order status, order tracking.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experienceAbility to successfully work in a team-oriented and CIP environmentDemonstrated problem-solving capabilityExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProven organizational skills including attention to detailAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously, even where conflicting priorities may existStrong working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeEnglish language proficiency
