We have an immediate opening for a Part Time Aftermarket Consultant to support operations at our Aerospace location in Rockford, IL. The primary focus of this position includes managing customer relationships, developing and executing sales strategies, and overseeing the entire sales process for aerospace aftermarket products, particularly in the valves sector. You will also be tasked with identifying new business opportunities and developing strategic partnerships to expand our market reach.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals in the aerospace aftermarket sector.Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly.Review market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales programs.Meet with key clients, maintaining relationships, negotiating and closing deals.Coordinate liaison between sales department and other sales-related units.Analyze and control expenditures of the division to conform to budgetary requirements.Assist other departments within the organization to prepare manuals and technical publications.Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.Direct product research and development.Represent the company at trade association meetings to promote products and services.Deliver sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives.Meet with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships.
Work Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following combination of education & experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Product Design, Aerospace or related field.Minimum of 8 years of experience in aftermarket sales, preferably within the aerospace industry.Proven experience in managing a team and driving sales growth.Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, particularly in the aerospace sector.Extensive experience in valves and nuclear products.Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret sales performance and market trend information.Proven ability to develop and implement successful sales strategies.Proficient in MS Office suite, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.Adept at business and technical presentations.Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be a US Citizen
