We invite passionate individuals to join our team, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations through innovative and sustainable solutions. **Position Summary:** We are seeking a dynamic and experienced **Africa Plant Controller** to oversee and drive the financial performance of our manufacturing plants across the African region. Based in **Johannesburg** , this role is responsible for ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making across plant operations. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on finance leader with a strong manufacturing background, excellent business acumen, and a collaborative approach. **Key Responsibilities:** + Lead the financial management of manufacturing sites across Africa, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. + Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations. + Monitor plant performance metrics (KPIs), conduct variance analysis, and provide actionable insights to operations managers and executive leadership. + Partner with operations leadership to drive cost-saving initiatives, efficiency improvements, and capital expenditure planning. + Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes for plant operations. + Prepare and present regular financial reports, including plant P&Ls, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. + Lead Annual Operating Plan for manufacturing site + Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements and corporate policies. + Lead internal and external audit processes related to plant operations. + Other ad hoc projects, as required in Africa region. **Required Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field + Professional qualification (e.g., CA(SA), CIMA, CPA) highly desirable. + 8+ years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a manufacturing site. + Strong controls mindset, well versed in IFRS + Good understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and manufacturing KPIs. + Proficiency in ERP systems, namely SAP. + Experience working in a multi-national company is a plus. + Problem solver, maturity in thought process and ability to work independently + Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
