**Aerospace - Quality Inspector - Kearny Mesa - 2nd Shift** **Job Description** As a Quality Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring products meet specifications and dimensions. Your primary focus will be inspecting Aerospace Honeycomb Seals used in turbines and other aircraft parts. Inspections will encompass weld integrity, open nodes, final inspections (ICR), dimensional checks, and visual assessments. To excel in this role, familiarity with GD&T is essential. **Responsibilities** + Execute inspections for conformance to specifications and dimensions. + Conduct weld integrity, open nodes, final inspections (ICR), dimensional, and visual assessments. + Understand, follow, and execute the Quality Policy, System Procedures, and Operations Manuals. + Identify and recommend solutions to quality problems. + Use inspection planning tools and perform product audits. + Assist in dimensional and visual inspections of returned parts and gather necessary documentation for C & CA procedures. + Participate in out-of-specification and failure investigations, recommending corrective actions. + Pass customer-required DQR classes. + Demonstrate knowledge of SPC and recognize out-of-control conditions. + Utilize measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers for inspections. **Essential Skills** + 3 years of quality inspection experience. + Proficiency in GD&T. + Aerospace, mechanical, and machining quality experience. + Ability to use calipers, micrometers, pi tapes, and optical comparators. + Dimensional and visual inspection skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with CMM. + Knowledge of First Article Inspection. + Experience with Optical Comparator. **Why Work Here?** Join a family-oriented business that values its employees.
