Job Description SummaryAs the Aerospace HQ Lead ERP Finance Specialist, you will have functional responsibility for ERP systems and financial analysis. In this role, you will support the Aerospace closing and reporting process as well as oversee routine and project-based maintenance within the ERP. The Aerospace HQ Lead ERP Finance Specialist is responsible for communicating effectively with Aerospace Operational and Technical Controllers, FP&A Leaders, IT, internal customers, and third-party vendors.
In addition to ERP responsibilities, the Aerospace HQ Lead ERP Finance Specialist will help lead certain special project initiatives. Special projects will vary and may include ERP and financial based initiatives of GE Aerospace.Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities
Be an ERP go-to person to help end-users with their ERP usage issuesFunction as a key player to run daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly ERP jobs to close ledgers in a timely manner, and roll forward at year-endGain basic DRM knowledge and participate in projects as and when requiredEnsure ERP general ledger data integrity including SOD for user-access rolesDrive quarterly/monthly the ERP closing lean initiatives to support overall Aerospace closing targetInvolvement in GE Aerospace projects and Cloud implementation for ERPPrioritize continuously in accordance with the understanding and validation of customer problems and needsPartner with Aviation Digital and Controllership to clear ERP system CVRStandardize ERP maintenance processes across all ERPs in job scope and in alignment with total Aerospace ERP landscapeSupport ad hoc project requests that support controllership and GE Aerospace business initiativesResponsible for general accounting and policy application & process administrationUtilizes in-depth knowledge of a discipline and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy. Basic knowledge of related job disciplines.Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Math or related field from an accredited college or universityMinimum of 3-5 years of related finance and/or ERP experience (Oracle/SAP)Ability to work non-standard business hours during quarterly closeProven analytical and organizational abilityEffective problem identification and solution skillsUnderstanding of how operational processes link to the financial statementsDesired Characteristics
