Aerospace Engineer, Junior Job Category: Engineering Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Continental US * * * **The Opportunity:** CACI is seeking a junior level Aerospace Engineer to support the Army Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Engineering and Systems Integration (ESI) Directorate **Responsibilities:** • Review and validate technical procurement requirements, research aircraft/electronic components, evaluate vendor solutions, and provide technical recommendations to ensure best value. • Help develop/refine technical requirements, specifications, and schematics for aircraft and electronic systems using provided tools and techniques. • Perform research to enhance engineering toolsets and contribute to process improvements that streamline procurement and validation workflows. • Build knowledge in aerodynamics, flight mechanics, and propulsion while working alongside senior engineers to gain reverse engineering expertise, progressing into more complex engineering tasks. • Assist in developing accurate schematics of electronic and aircraft systems using provided tools. • Contribute to process improvement efforts that streamline procurement and validation workflows. • Gain a strong working knowledge of aerodynamics, flight mechanics, propulsion systems, and electronics. • Work side-by-side with senior engineers to learn reverse engineering and exploitation methodologies. • Assist in reconstructing aircraft aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, stability, and control systems to evaluate performance and identify vulnerabilities • Progressively assume more complex technical engineering responsibilities. **Qualifications:** _Required:_ • Active Secret security clearance and the ability to obtain an TS/SCI. • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/electrical, Information Technology, or related field. • Four years of progressively more complex experience in the design, development, integration and analysis of hardware projects. • Ability to learn quickly and seamlessly adapt to changing demands. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, oral and written, for effective interaction with staff, customers, and external contacts. • Able to work independently and to be proactive in identifying and responding to issues and problems. • Must be able to demonstrate experience and capability in one or more of the following areas: analysis and modeling of hypersonic systems including flight dynamics, vehicle performance characterization, propulsion system design, supersonic/hypersonic aerodynamics prediction, guidance, navigation, control, and flight test data analysis. •Must be able to communicate well through written documentation and oral presentation. - **________________________________________________________________________________________** **What You Can Expect:** **A culture of integrity.** At CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
