Aerospace Defense Program Security Manager

As the Aerospace Defense Program Security Manager at our Huntsville, AL facility, you will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of Department of Defense (DoD) program security. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure strict compliance with government and corporate security protocols. This position requires your presence onsite, and you will report directly to the Aerospace Industrial Security Manager. Occasional travel may be required. This role is responsible for managing, administering, and coordinating all aspects of DoD program security at PPG’s Huntsville facility to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures. Additionally, this position serves as the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) for one air-gapped information system, overseeing all required security functions.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement local compliance procedures in accordance with DCSA, DCMA, NISP, NIST, NISS, 32 CFR Part 117, and PPG corporate policies. Assist with Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) compliance related to NIST SP 800-171. Oversee all DoD and program audits, ensuring adherence to federal and customer requirements, addressing corrective actions, and mitigating risks. Initiate T3 background investigations, periodic reviews, and manage profiles for all security clearance holders. Monitor physical shipment of products per program requirements and manage physical security measures to protect personnel, information, and property in compliance with government regulations. Develop and administer comprehensive security education and training programs, providing required training and briefings. Prepare, issue, and track DD Form 254s (DD254s), audit subcontractor security programs, and perform administrative duties including initiating personnel clearances in the Defense Information System for Security (DISS). Manage a special U.S. Post Office box for secure transmission of classified materials and handle classified material transmission, access requests, visit coordination, and maintain security infrastructure such as CCTV, guard forces, badging, and security containers. Ensure compliance with 32 CFR Part 117 NISP and other relevant security regulations, maintaining working knowledge of Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 and Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide (JSIG) directives. Utilize and manage security systems including DISS, NISS, National Background Investigation Services (NBIS), and Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS). Report security violations to the Industrial Security Manager and coordinate with DCSA representatives for audits of accredited information systems. 

Requirements

U.S. Citizen (no dual citizenship due to program requirements).Fully adjudicated favorable DoD Secret security clearance eligibility (In-scope T3/Secret favorable adjudication with current eligibility).General Educational Development (GED) or High School Diploma.3+ years of industrial security management experience or equivalent experience in DoD security management.Preferred 5 years of experience with NISPOMExperience with Windows operating systems (both networked and standalone environments).Willingness to learn and use Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes.Minimum Level 1 IAM DoD 8570 Cyber Certification (required within one year of employment).Prior defense industry, federal or local law enforcement, and military experience are highly desirable.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,000 plus annual bonus.
