Job DescriptionFor our aeronautical activities, we are looking for a Aeronautical Sheet Metal Technician.
Job Objective:
To perform maintenance, repair, and modification operations on helicopter sheet metal structures and components, ensuring the maintenance of their structural integrity, conformity, and safety, in accordance with aeronautical regulations and company procedures.
Diagnosis and Troubleshooting:
Inspect structures and components to identify malfunctions and determine their cause.Disassemble assemblies down to the point of the problem.Repair and Modification:
Adjust, repair, realign, manufacture, or replace defective components or assemblies.Perform structural repairs, modifications, and corrosion protection treatments, strictly adhering to original strength, weight, and contour.Assemble structural parts and components in compliance with technical requirements.Incorporate authorized modifications and changes according to directives.Reading and Interpretation of Technical Documents:
Master the reading, application, and interpretation of technical data, including diagrams, engineering drawings, and maintenance manuals.Assembly and Fastening:
Assemble repairs using fasteners (rivets, screws, etc.) and special adhesives in accordance with specifications.Damage Assessment:
Accurately assess damage caused to aircraft structural components.Compliance Control:
Verify that the repairs carried out are usable and comply with specifications and technical publications.Corrosion Treatment:
Treat corrosion using appropriate mechanical and chemical processes.Documentation and Recording:
Publish accurate entries and keep maintenance and inspection records up to date.Enter, validate, and analyze processed data in automated maintenance systems.Resolve and close maintenance anomalies processed in automated systems.Prepare forms and records related to aircraft maintenance.Know-how:
Mastery of repair and modification techniques for aeronautical metallic structures.Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting structural problems.Proven competence in the use of specific tooling (jigs, fixtures, forming tools, etc.).Mastery of aeronautical assembly and fastening techniques (riveting, screwing, specific bonding).In-depth knowledge of materials used in aeronautics and their properties (aluminum alloys, titanium, special steels).Mastery of corrosion treatment techniques.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, engineering diagrams, and aeronautical maintenance manuals.Knowledge of aeronautical standards and regulations (EASA, FAA, etc.).Use of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).Soft Skills:
