Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Machining Buyer with proven experience in sourcing precision-machined components for the aerospace industry. The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing certified suppliers, driving cost reduction initiatives, improving lead times, and ensuring compliance with the highest standards of quality and traceability.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage relationships with suppliers specialized in aerospace machining processes.
Issue, analyze, and negotiate RFQs, ensuring full compliance standards.
Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Logistics teams to qualify and onboard new suppliers or manage supplier transitions.
Identify and localize strategic suppliers in Mexico with the technical capabilities and certifications required for aerospace manufacturing.
Lead cost reduction, lead time optimization, and risk management initiatives within the supply chain.
Monitor supplier performance through key KPIs (OTD, PPM, cost, compliance).
Required Profile:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
3 to 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing within the aerospace or high-precision manufacturing sectors.
Strong knowledge of CNC machining, aerospace-grade materials (aluminum, titanium, Inconel), and special processes.
Experience working with certified suppliers.
Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (oral and written).
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Qualifications Supply chain certifications (CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent).
Familiarity with ITAR / EAR regulations.
Experience in conducting supplier audits.
