**SUMMARY**
Set up multiplex (MUX) and non-multiplex systems on aerial units and operate the aerial device through the prescribed test procedures for each Pierce model. Deliver a defect-free product to both Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and into the Final Product Evaluation (FPE) process.
This position is eligible for a $2.00 Technical Pay Premium. This pay premium will be applied to all regular hours worked, and it will be included in the calculation of any applicable overtime pay in accordance with company policy and labor laws. It will appear as a separate line item on your paycheck. If you move out of a role eligible for the Technical Pay Premium, the premium will be discontinued.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES** **AND** **RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Set-up, calibrate and troubleshoot the multiplex system on all aerial units
+ Set-up, calibrate and troubleshoot non-multiplex systems on aerialunits
+ Troubleshoot multiplex problems with customers / technicians in the field Record any and all discrepancies identified through the testing process
+ Performwater testing to the aerial device
+ Assist UL with testing and re-test verification
+ Perform necessary electrical and mechanical repairs once identified
+ Represent Pierce in a responsible and professional manner throughout the performance of the job
**BASIC** **QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Previous experience with aerial devices, pump operation,and/or MUX systems
+ Previous training in the operation of aerial devices
+ Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Possess a Commercial Driver’s License
+ Previous experience in department 23
