Job Description

Who You'll Work With

Arista seeks an Advisory Systems Engineer to provide advanced post-sales support, guidance, and assistance to account teams to address specific customer needs. In this position, you will be working as a technology expert in the Routing & Switching space to design, implement, and support (troubleshoot) our deployments within a number of customer infrastructures. The ideal candidate will also have a level of comfort communicating across all functions within Arista, as well as with clients and partners.

What You'll Do

You will provide advanced Pre-Sales & Post-sales engineering support as trusted advisory for Arista's Open Networking Data Centre and Campus networking deployments for our enterprise and commercial customers.You will provide customer advice regarding architectural questions, product prerequisites, product features, etc.Translate complex business requirements into Leaf-Spine Network solutionsAssist Pre-Sales Engineer and Account Executives with designing Network solutionsReview customer network designs for an EVPN, VxLAN, leaf-spine architecture and make recommendations for deploymentAssist with implementation and change controlsYou will assist with proof of concepts (POC) and in-depth testing to validate design scenarioProvide bug scrubs and code recommendationsProvide interface to TAC and internal development teams and the customerEstablish and maintaining strong relationships with key partnersAttend key partner events, training sessions, and provide ongoing training with the customer teams globallyContinue training to maintain expertiseAbility to understand the client’s business objectives and technical needsAbility to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for sales and clientsRegularly exercises discretion and independent judgmentMaintain professional relationships with teammates, partners, and clients


 

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field; advanced vendor certifications (ACE, CCIE, JNCIE) preferred.7+ years designing and deploying large-scale data center and enterprise campus networks, including wireless, routing, security, and NAC.Deep expertise in EVPN/VXLAN, leaf–spine, OSPF, BGP, multicast, and segmentation strategies.Proven track record in network automation (Python, Ansible, APIs) and feature evaluation for high-performance environments.Strong customer-facing skills — able to lead complex design discussions, deliver compelling technical presentations, and influence C-level decisions.Excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills; able to operate as a trusted advisor to customers and partners.
