TITLE:                                          Advisor, Quality Engineering

DUTIES:                                      Strategize, design, and publish complex test cases to validate product functionality, accuracy, and compliance for merchant-focused retail and service platforms, including POS devices and financial processors. Lead end-to-end consumer experience testing, ensuring seamless functionality across web, mobile, and software integrations. Drive efficient test execution for diverse ecosystems, including web-based platforms, Android applications, and integrated POS systems. Define, maintain, and communicate detailed test strategies and progress through comprehensive test plans and reports. Identify critical defects and ensure compliance with specifications using advanced manual testing techniques and gray-box methodologies. Oversee automation frameworks, platform optimization, and localization strategies tailored for global merchant needs. Execute automation solutions, including functional, integration, and end-to-end customer workflows, to validate complex integrations between retail systems and financial processors. Produce and maintain detailed technical documentation to support cross-functional teams and compliance audits. Proactively diagnose and resolve production issues, participate in incident management, and drive bug triage processes to minimize merchant impact.

REQUIREMENTS:                     Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field and 7 years in any job title involving quality assurance experience in the banking and financial industry. Prior experience must include 5 years in the following: Working with ISO 8583, Card Processing and Payments; Working with Postman, Fiddler, Charles Proxy, Jenkins, GIT, REST, and SOAP; Working with RHEL Linux, MySQL, and MongoDB; Testing Android, iOS and web applications; Working with Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, and CI/CD pipelines; Writing SQL queries; Working with Apple and Google wallet payments; Managing test plans and test cases; Running Go/No-Go meetings; Defining best practices for quality assurance process and KPIs; and Setting up test environments and test beds. Prior experience must also include: 3 years writing automated test scripts in Javascript, Java, Appium, Selenium, Cypress or UI Automator; and 2 years working with Payments or point of sale (POS) transactions.
