Advice & Wealth Management Service and Operations Leadership Development Program Associate
The Ameriprise Financial Leadership Development Program (LDP) offers meaningful work experience for emerging talent in a FORTUNE 500® company within the Financial Services industry.

The Operations LDP is up to an 18-month commitment designed cultivate your business acumen, gain on-the-job training, network in a supportive, inclusive, team-based environment, have exposure to senior leaders and contribute to the success of the company through three, 6-month rotations.

The Service & Operations team supports the analysis of business processes and works at developing solutions to best support the organization. As a Service & Operations LDP, you will work with team members to support the following areas:

• Service Delivery
• Clearing Operations
• Risk Management
• Advisor, Client, and Employee Experience
• Voice of the Customer
• Service Tool and Workflow Design
• Data Management
• Vendor Management
• Ameriprise Premier Retirement Income
• Program and Field Implementation
• Trading
• Learning, Knowledge Management and Quality

After exploring the breadth of the business unit(s) through each rotation, LDPs may have the opportunity to post to a permanent position within Ameriprise Financial.

2025 Ameriprise Financial and Columbia Threadneedle Investments interns will be given preferred consideration during the application window closing August 25. In the event not all approved positions are filled, we anticipate re-opening this requisition the week of September 1st for all applicants to be considered that match the required requirements and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities vary depending on current rotation and assigned projects(s) and may include:

Participating on project teams responsible for developing solutions for opportunities within the business area to enhance the advisor and client experienceRecommending and participating in enhancements to existing processesAssists in resolving problems or issues through trouble shootingData analysis and reportingProcessing client/advisor requests


Required Qualifications:

Current Senior at a 4-year university pursing a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Economics, Finance, Marketing or related fieldGraduation date of December 2025 or May/June 2026Commitment to complete the full 18-month Leadership Development ProgramSuccessful completion of an Ameriprise internship capstone projectRecommendation from Ameriprise Internship leaderCuriosity and the ability to learn new skills quicklyHigh degree of self-motivation with strong integrity and ethics


Preferred Qualifications:

High degree of self-motivation with strong integrity and ethicsExcellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple prioritiesExcellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills Ability to work and communicate collaboratively with all levels of the organization including team members, managers, and senior leaders Proficient with Microsoft Office SuiteAnalysis skillsMeeting preparation and facilitation skillsProject planning & execution skills

Base Pay Salary

The estimated base salary for this role is $64,000. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role. We also have a competitive and comprehensive benefits program that supports all aspects of your health and well-being, including but not limited to vacation time, sick time, 401(k), and health, dental and life insurances.
