The Opportunity

We have an opportunity available for an Advice Assistant to join our team at AIA in Sydney or Melbourne. This is your opportunity to bring your customer focus, can do attitude and skills and experience to a team of dedicated individuals and be part of delivering Financial Advice services to our customers.

An Advice Assistant listens and understands the kind of financial advice customers are seeking and supports the customer to initiate their advice journey with our amazing team of Financial Planners.

To do this successfully you will:

Provide excellent customer engagement through contacting prospective customers, leading the referral process and assisting with customer queries over the phone

Collaborate with different parts of the business to support business initiatives

Work across teams to deliver consistent processes and support the delivery of targets / SLAs

Build your knowledge of the Advice industry, legislative changes and attend professional development and compliance training sessions

Be curious and interested to continuously grow your knowledge and learning

Work autonomously at times as well as collaboratively

Successful applications will demonstrate:

Previous experience working in a contact centre / client facing role within financial services or life insurance

Experience within the insurance or financial services industries is highly desirable

Strong communication skills both written and verbal

Well developed rapport building and customer engagement skills

Strong organisational and time management skills

Well developed skills in MS Office Suite including Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Teams and exposure to a Customer Relationship Management system
